Superstar Rajinikanth upcoming film "Lingaa," is all set to release on this Friday as Rajini’s Birthday gift.The film was already in news due to various controversies and the latest was copy allegations of th efilm’s story.

A Chennai based production house filed case on Lingaa saying that it was an unauthorized copy of a Telugu film starred by Chiranjeevi.The production house said it had purchased the Telugu film "Indra," starred by Chiranjeevi and Sonali Bindre. It said all rights of the film were purchased in 2010 .The petitioner company submitted that it was planning to remake the Telugu film in Tamil and the basic work for it was going on.

He asked the court to hold the release of the film until he settles matter with makers of lingaa. However Madras High Court refused to stay the release of ‘Lingaa’ and further adjourned the case to December 12.Director K S Ravikumar denied the allegations and said the case had been filed for publicity.
