Kantara Chapter 1 released on 2nd October and became a resounding success collecting Rs.818 crores at the global box office. Rishab Shetty won National Award for his performance in the first film and for prequel also, audiences are opining that he should be awarded. 

The movie became a Highest Grosser of the Year 2025, till date. Now, the makers have announced English version release on 31st October and on the same date, they have also confirmed OTT release. It is releasing on Amazon Prime Video platform and English version will release in Overseas markets. 

Rishab Shetty's commitment to play two characters along with writing and directing the film is being praised by everyone. Rukmini Vasanth's gorgeous look and performance won her many fans too. The divine blockbuster became Kannada's second highest worldwide grosser behind KGF Chapter 2 and highest grosser ever in Karnataka.
