Bhagyashree Borse, the leading lady of Dulquer Salmaan's highly anticipated period drama Kaantha, has expressed immense excitement about her role ahead of the November 14th release. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj and jointly produced by Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati, the film also features Rana and Samuthirakani.

Bhagyashri interacting with media, called Kaantha as a very special project, offering her a "pure performance-oriented character" named Kumari. She considered the role a blessing and a challenge, particularly due to its 1960s setting. Though Kaantha was the first script she signed, due to delays others films have released first.

Her preparation included watching classic films and drawing inspiration from legendary actresses like Sridevi and Savitri to authentically portray the era. She praised the positive work environment and the support from Director Selvaraj, who crafted the Kumari character beautifully.

Bhagyashri highlighted her enriching experience working with the producers. Having worked with major stars early in her career, she looks forward to the film's success. Her ultimate hope is that Kaantha will elevate her from a commercial performer to being recognized as a serious performer in the industry.
