Home  »  News  »  I don't know what are Telugu review standards - Sandeep Raj

Updated : Dec 13, 2025

Director Sandeep Raj came into prominence with his tweet about his film, Mowgli 2025, postponing and might not be releasing in theatres when Akhanda 2 postponed to 12th December. The movie released today and the reviews have been mixed completely. In fact, almost everyone criticised the film big time.

The makers have held a Wild Blockbuster success meet and Sandeep Raj talking about the reviews stated that he does not know the standards of Telugu reviewers. He commented that he is trying to learn and understand how he can be better to reach those standards.

His tone seemed very mild and respectful but he the words appear to be sarcastic. He seemed to be unable to take the criticism that has come his way for the film. The kind of negative reception and lukewarm response at ticket window are disheartening. The makers have come up with Rs.99 ticket rate but content lacks that fire.

In any case, Roshan Kanakala after a film like Bubble Gum, tried his luck with Mowgli and the film seems to yet again end up as a bad memory for him. Sakshi Sagar has played the leading lady role and Bandi Saroj Kumar has played the antagonist role. BSK got more laurels than entire team in the film.
