Updated : Aug 25, 2025

Anushka Shetty is revered as Queen of Telugu Cinema and she started being more choosy about her roles. She is looking to get back into the action zone with her Ghaati. Krish Jagarlamudi is directing this powerful woman centric action film about people who live in Ghats across Andhra-Orissa borders.

Producer Rajeev Reddy, of First Frame Entertainments, interacted with media about the film and stated that it would be her Karthavyam. He stated that they wanted to make an impactful woman-centric action film and hence, chose Anushka to star in it. He called it another impactful film like Arundhati and it would be much more too.

He also remarked that the goal was to achieve a scale not seen in a female-superstar action film since the iconic Karthavyam. He stated that the film is a complete fiction and has Krish's trademark intense drama and narrative that evokes all emotions. He called the background score as outstanding.

Vikram Prabhu is starring in leading male role and the actor is been cast to get some help in Tamil markets, too. UV Creations are presenting the film and it is releasing on 5th September. Makers are promising Anushka's big comeback to screens and let's see how it pans out on big screens.
