Ace Director SS Rajamouli's graphical extravaganza, Eega has entered into the history books as the first Telugu film to earn as many as 6 nominations at the 2012 Madrid Film Festival. Interestingly, Eega is the only Indian film to contend in the best film category. Rajamouli expressed his happiness over the nominations and said “ It is a huge honor and I am thrilled to have contributed to taking Telugu cinema to the global stage. I got the official confirmation this morning. These are small steps towards venturing into newer markets. Hoping we can make more breakthroughs ”.
