Updated : Jun 10, 2026

Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 has continued its remarkable theatrical journey and added another major milestone to its box office run. The film has officially crossed Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros in worldwide collections to emerge as the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film globally.

As per the latest figures, Drishyam 3 has grossed around Rs.235 crore worldwide, narrowly moving ahead of Vaazha 2’s Rs.234.46 crore total. While the margin is small, the achievement underlines the sustained pull of the franchise and Georgekutty’s unmatched recall among audiences.

The film has also put up solid numbers in India with approximately Rs.121 crore gross and an impressive overseas total crossing Rs.109 crore. However, Kerala has emerged as the one market where a major milestone now appears difficult.

Drishyam 3 currently stands at around Rs.86.34 crore gross in Kerala. With the theatrical run slowing down considerably and occupancy witnessing a visible drop after the initial rush, the film now looks unlikely to touch the prestigious Rs.100 crore gross mark in the state. The gap remains significant and fresh competition is expected to further reduce screens.

Even then, the film’s run remains highly successful. It delivered one of the biggest openings in Malayalam cinema and eventually overtook Vaazha 2 worldwide. But unless there is an unexpected revival, Drishyam 3’s box office journey is almost at its finish line with Kerala’s Rs.100 crore milestone set to remain out of reach.
