Darshan confesses to torturing Renukaswamy?

Recently, Kannada film star Darshan has been in the headlines following his arrest on charges related to the murder of a young man who allegedly sent inappropriate messages to actress Pavitra Gowda.

The police chargesheet reveals that Kannada actor has confessed to torturing his fan, Renukaswamy. Darshan admitted to striking Renukaswamy on his chest, neck, and head, and even instructed actress Pavithra Gowda to hit him with her slipper. Darshan also mentioned that Renukaswamy appeared to have been previously assaulted when he first encountered him.

According to Darshan’s statement, he kicked Renukaswamy in the neck, chest, and head, and used both his hands and a wooden stick to inflict further injury. Police sources have indicated that Pavithra Gowda, the main accused, played a significant role in the crime. She is said to have incited the other suspects, conspired with them, and participated in the assault.

Recently, a distressing image of Renukaswamy surfaced on social media, showing him shirtless and begging for mercy before his alleged murder. Renukaswamy's body was found near a stormwater drain in Bengaluru’s Sumanahalli on June 9th. He was allegedly lured to a shed in RR Nagar by Raghavendra, a member of Darshan’s fan club from Chitradurga, under the pretense of a meeting with the actor.

The post-mortem report indicates that Renukaswamy died from shock and bleeding caused by multiple blunt force injuries.
