Updated : Dec 20, 2025

After a three-year hiatus following his previous success, Roshan Meka returns to the silver screen with Champion, a compelling period drama set against the historical backdrop of 1948 Bhairanpally. Produced by Priyanka Dutt under the prestigious Swapna Cinema banner and directed by Pradeep Advaitam, the film is slated for a worldwide release on December 25, 2025.

During a recent media interaction, Roshan shared his excitement regarding the overwhelming response to the film’s teaser and soundtrack. He particularly lauded Mickey J. Meyer’s transformative background score, promising audiences a "new" musical dimension from the composer.

Roshan emphasized that the film’s authenticity was achieved through extensive workshops to master the local dialect and era-specific nuances. The actor described Champion as a powerful blend of intense action and deep human sentiment. He praised his co-star, Anaswara Rajan, noting that her character provides a vital emotional anchor and adds a layer of charm to the narrative.

Reflecting on his career break, Roshan stated that the time was essential for his personal and professional growth. He expressed immense confidence that the passion invested by every craft will make Champion one of the most significant releases in recent Telugu cinema, proving that his three-year wait was well worth the effort.
