Meanwhile, it is known that a sequel to the film is in the works. The sequel begins with Pushpa Raj, who grew up smuggling red sandalwood, encountering difficulties on his journey.

Sukumar is concerned about having a strong sequel to Part 1. Sukumar has been working on a better script as part of this for quite some time. The creative director appears to have a major plan to get the film in front of audiences as soon as possible.

Bunny Vas recently disclosed in an interview that the makers of Pushpa The Rule intend to begin filming in July. Sukumar hopes to finish the film in six months and release it in the summer of 2023.
