Despite this commitment, Swamy soon made bold predictions about Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala following their engagement. This prompted the Telugu Film Journalists Association and the Telugu Film Digital Media Association to consider filing a complaint against him for his derogatory remarks about the couple's future.

In response to the criticism, Venu Swamy took to social media once again to apologize and reaffirm his decision to avoid making statements about film celebrities' futures. He acknowledged the harsh reaction to his previous comments and explained that his latest predictions were intended as a continuation of his earlier forecasts about Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.
