Arasan starring Silambarasan for the first time in the direction of Vetrimaaran, has been one of the most anticipated movies, since its announcement. The movie promo has been released in theatres, officially confirming the details that have been going around from past few weeks.

In the promo, Simbu aka Silambarasan aka STR, is seen playing a character from Vada Chennai universe, bringing back the memories of the classical world. His lean look, blood soaked walk on streets of Chennai, his comic timing in conversation with director Nelson about his past.

While he talks about his criminal past, in the court, he denies committing any sin. The promo videos from the theatres are being circulated around social media. Fans of STR have been waiting for this promo and this kind of performance from their idol. They are celebrating him and the film's promo in a big way.

Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for this film, instead of Santhosh Narayan, who composed for Vada Chennai. Makers have confirmed the movie has a story from Vada Chennai and Simbu even took Dhanush name, exciting their fans. Kalapuli S Thanu is producing the film and full fledged movie shoot is going to start soon. Digital Promo will be released by NTR in Telugu and multiple big stars in other languages, on 17th October.
