Pouring water on the dreams of Akkineni fans, "Akhil" disappointed heavily. While the film is expected to cash on the Diwali holiday, the mixed talk has spread very fast about the film and that resulted finally in Akhil's first day collection that doesn't even stand in Top 20.

Collecting 2.30 crores 'share' from Nizam, 1.38 cr from Ceeded, Akkineni Akhil's "Akhil" has made a staggering collection of 7.57 Crores "share" from the Box Office of two Telugu states. Surely the figure is the best for any debuting hero and also the best for any Akkineni hero till date, but not enough to beat the Top 20 numbers.

If we have to go by First Day Collections (share) records, Baahubali (22.4 Cr), Srimanthudu (14.72 Cr) and Bruce Lee (12.66 Cr) are the toppers, while the last one in Top 20 rankings is Rachha (7.86 Crores). Bad luck, Akhil missed being part of this Top 20 club.
