As the release of date of "Akhil" is inching in, there is huge buzz about the film in Telugu circles. However, what is stunning is that Akhil Akkineni is being portrayed as a next superstar much before his first film releases. That's okay for the hype, but it is being publicised that he is a competitor to Ajith and Kamal Haasan too, which is making Tamil fans laugh now.

As "Akhil" is releasing in Tamil version too, Telugu fans are busy promoting that he will be seen as a major threat to Ajith's Vendalam and Kamal's Thoognavanam in Tamilnadu. Well, reality is that Ajith is like a Pawan Kalyan in Tamilnadu at the moment, while Kamal has one of the largest loyal fanbases. It would be terrific if Akhil manages to get nearly 200 theatres for release day in Tamilnadu, which is equal to Mahesh Babu's Selvandan (Srimanthdu) while Ajith and Kamal bag nearly 1000 theatres. So, there is no question of Akhil giving competition to the biggest Tamil heroes, say Tamil fans.
