Director Ajay Bhupathi has made a notable impact with his film "Mangalavaram." Although it didn't achieve blockbuster status at the box office, the production team still reaped substantial profits, thanks to strong performances, an evocative background score, and high-quality cinematography.

Following this success, Bhupathi is now working on "Mangalavaram 2," with the basic plot already outlined and final script development underway. In addition to "Mangalavaram 2," Ajay Bhupathi is focused on another film, but if he cannot find the right actor for that project, he plans to proceed with "Mangalavaram 2" instead.

This sequel is set in the 18th century, taking place in a village in the Godavari district and serves as a prequel to the original film. Once the shooting schedule is finalized, Bhupathi will select the cast and crew for "Mangalavaram 2." A prominent Bollywood production house is set to produce the film, which aims to have a pan-Indian appeal.
