Thalapathy Vijay Jana Nayagan has been stated to be his final movie in his acting career. The actor has decided to turn into full time politician concentrating on his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), future in Tamil Nadu. He has plans to form the government and become CM, one day.

His recent films like Leo and GOAT have crossed Rs.200 crore box office collection in Tamil Nadu state. While Leo collected Rs.231 crores, GOAT is reported to have collected Rs.215 crores. Hence, the demand for Jana Nayagan, releasing for a lucrative season like Pongal at the box office, has scorhed new heights.

For the theatrical rights, the makers have quoted Rs.100 crores just from Tamil Nadu state with Rs.15 crores from Kerala. Raahul, the distributor, has paid the amount and acquired the rights, it seems. The movie digital rights have been closed but satellite rights are still up for grab, say reports.

Mamitha Baiju is playing a prominent role in the film and Pooja Hegde is playing the leading lady role. Jana Nayagan is said to be a remake of NBK's Bhagavanth Kesari. The movie directed by Anil Ravipudi got National Award for Best Telugu Film and now, H. Vinoth is directing Jana Nayagan with Vijay's character having political ambitions.
