Tamil Nadu CM Vijay's last film Jana Nayagan has been facing release issues from past 7 months. It was locked for Pongal release but the movie had been facing censor issues. Even after elections and Vijay forming the Government, the movie did not get the censor certificate.
Now, the reports suggest that the movie team had been asked to return distributors' amounts by Vijay. As per his recommendation, KVN Productions have started planning the funds and have decided to return to everyone on 22nd June. In the meantime, they have received an update that by 19th June, they would receive the certificate.
Sources state that KVN Prodcutions have forwarded the same information to Vijay and distributors. If they receive the certificate, they will plan for 26th June release and there is no need to return amounts. If they do not, then on 22nd June, they will return amounts and Vijay promised to return his complete remuneration.
It looks the release confusion surrounding the supposedly final film of Vijay seems to be growing each day. Reports keep suggesting that KVN Productions are having tough time with Toxic also being held back from release. Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Prakash Raj have performed in other leading roles in this Vijay's swansong.
