Home  »  Gossip  »  Is Toxic Planning For Sankranti Release?

Updated : Jun 16, 2026

Ever since Yash starrer Toxic moved away from its earlier release plans, industry circles have been actively discussing a new possible release window for the Yash starrer. The latest speculation suggests that the makers are considering a Sankranti 2027 release, a season traditionally dominated by Telugu big-ticket entertainers.

The discussion gained momentum as several reports linked the shift to the film’s changing release schedule. However, as of now, there has been no official announcement from the makers confirming any release date. Reports regarding delays and large-scale reshoots have also been denied by the production team recently, stating that the project remains on track.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups remains one of the most anticipated pan-India projects with Yash returning after KGF. The film has maintained curiosity largely because the makers have revealed very little about the story while continuing to build intrigue around its visual world. Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi and Kiara Advani are playing leading ladies in the film.

If Toxic eventually locks the Sankranti corridor, it could make the festive season far more competitive across markets. But will the makers choose Sankranti season depends on Mega158 - Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli film also eyeing the same season as the movie is produced by KVN Productions.
