Krrish franchise launched with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003 has been the first superhero franchise of Indian Cinema. Hrithik Roshan with Krrish and Krrish 3 established himself as perfect for Superhero role. But the franchise did not go forward post Krrish 3 mixed response as the makers have been blamed to manipulate box office. 

Rakesh Roshan, the director and producer of the films, decided to further produce Kites and Kaabil, which did not become huge blockbusters as anticipated. In fact, Kites bombed big time at the box office killing the worldwide wave created by Krrish for Hrithik Roshan. 

Now, he announced Krrish 4 with Hrithik Roshan helming the director's chair. But he did not clarify about the timeline when the movie will take off until this date. In a recent interview, he shared that they have decided on the budget and are ready to take the film on floors from next year. 

He revealed that the post production works are going on and the movie will be planned on a huge budget to support the magnum opus vision. He stated that they are planning for 2027 release and start movie shoot by mid-2026.
