Karishma Kapoor had divorced Sunjay Kapur and started independently looking after their children Samaira and Kiaan. Now, both of them have moved to Delhi High Court against their step-mother Priya Sachdev, demanding their legal right in their late father Sunjay Kapur's wealth.
Going into the details, recently Sunjay Kapur had passed away and Karisma Kapoor attended his final rites along with her children. Now, in the petition filed by Samaira and Kiaan, it is noted that Priya forged the will of Sunjay and removed their names as legal heir for his properties.
They have argued that the Alleged Purported Will copy has not been shared with them and hence, the document should be noted as illegal and invalid. They have requested the court to provide them with the will copy. Further they have requested the court to issue to stay on the execution of the will, till issue is resolved.
Sunjay Kapur has estimated Rs.30,000 crore estate and hence, the legal battle had been ensued. Even Kapur's sister Mandhira has claimed Priya Sachdev had forced her mother to sign few legal papers. Even Priya and Sunjay's daughter Safira, dropped 'Chatwal' surname and adopted Kapur surname recently.
Even mother of Sunjay had said to have claimed to not know what papers she had signed after passing of Sunjay Kapur in June, 2025. Overall, the issue seems to be too deep than just Karisma Kapoor and her children fighting for their share in the estate.
