Krithi Shetty is set to make her Bollywood debut with a romantic entertainer, according to media reports. Sreeleela has been busy shooting for Aashiqui 3 and now, Krithi Shetty is expected to debut with a love story directed by Vidhi Ghodgaonkar, a longtime protégé of filmmaker Rohit Shetty.

According to sources close to the development, the yet-to-be-titled film is expected to go on floors later this year. Vidhi Ghodgaonkar, who has reportedly spent 17 years working under Rohit Shetty, will direct the project, which will be produced by Abhishek S Vyas under the banner of AVS Studios. Details about the storyline and the remaining cast are currently under wraps, while an official announcement is awaited.

Krithi made an impressive impression on Telugu audiences with her debut as a leading actress in Uppena. She went on to feature in films such as Shyam Singha Roy, Bangarraju, The Warrior and Macherla Niyojakavargam, building a presence across Telugu and Tamil cinema. However, her Bollywood debut marks a new chapter in her career as she looks to expand her reach beyond South Indian films.

Krithi was last seen in Vignesh Shivan's Love Insurance Kompany, alongside Pradeep Ranganathan and SJ Suryah. She is working in Anil Ravipudi's January 12 Vidudala with Venkatesh, Nandamuri Kalyanram and Keerthy Suresh. Recently, South heroines did not have similar luck as previous generation leads in Hindi let's see how Krithi will fare.
