Prashanth Neel is directing Jr. NTR in his big blockbuster film, Dragon. He decided to release a 4 minutes teaser that establishes the story and characters. On the other hand Nag Ashwin released Prabhas character Bhairava and Bujji series prior to Kalki 2898 AD release to establish the relation between the car and bounty hunter. 

Now, it is being said that Prashanth Neel wants to expand on characters of the film and release short videos about each character's origin before the release. As it would help audiences to understand the world and story, emotions better the makers are planning about bringing such interesting videos. 

Nag Ashwin is also planning to clearly explain character origins of Supreme Leader Yaskin, Bhairava and origin of Complex, before Kalki sequel release. There could be a video or series to re-introduce Sumathi character being played a new lead actress, after Deepika Padukone's exit. But none of these are confirmed yet. 

Industry gossip states that the producers are keen to make such changes and arrangements that would help audiences understand the film and raise anticipation. As regular promotional campaigns are proving to be ineffective, these innovations are needed.
