Is Paradise Facing OTT Release Pressure?

Jun 18, 2026 4:46PM

Natural Star Nani has accepted his most ambitious film, The Paradise in the direction of Srikanth Odela, post Dasara. But the movie is currently becoming a headache for him and producer state Industry gossip. According to the reports, the director wants time to complete the film but OTT giant Netflix, wants them to release by September.

Well, the movie shoot started with 27th March release date as the goal but the director has asked for more time and makers shifted to 21st August. But even that date is said to be impossible to meet. Peddi vs The Paradise clash became a discussing point when both locked same weekend in March but Peddi had to bow down to OTT and theatrical rights pressures to release in June.

It is stated that Peddi makers before finalising edit, wanted some time to go for re-shoots but then considering over budget issues and pressure about losing OTT rights amount, they released it on 4th June. Interestingly, The Paradise too is looking at such pressure and problems.

According to recent reports, Srikanth Odela has to finish still 60 more shooting days work before the team can take entire film to edit table and fast track post production. So, they have unofficially given up on 21st August release date too. While they are looking at December, the OTT giant, Netflix has asked them to stick to their pre-fixed window and release by September.

Further delay would force them to cut down price for rights. Producers cannot afford such a hit as the movie budget, which was already highest in Nani's career, has ballooned up due to delays. So, the producer has asked Srikanth Odela to plan and finish work by September for at least Dusshera festival release. We have to wait and see, how things will proceed further.
