Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor are set to reunite on screen after 15 years, and this time, their reunion comes in one of the most anticipated films of the year. Kareena is reportedly making a special appearance in King, where she will join SRK for a special song titled Daddy Cool. According to Pinkvilla, the duo will shoot the song over a five-day schedule in South Africa later this month.
The reunion carries considerable nostalgia for Bollywood audiences. Shah Rukh and Kareena first shared screen space in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, which went on to become one of the most popular family entertainers of its time. They later reunited for Ra.One in 2011, their last major film together. Ra.One also marked their pairing in prominent roles, making King their first screen reunion in 15 years.

King itself has been mounted as a major action entertainer, bringing together Shah Rukh Khan with an ensemble that includes Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Arshad Warsi and Raghav Juyal. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is produced by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The film is also nearing the final stages of its production, with a major action-heavy climax having been shot in South Africa.
The music department brings together Sachin-Jigar, who are composing the songs, and Anirudh Ravichander, who is scoring the background music. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on 24th December. Filled with such a massive cast and surprises, SRK is leaving no stone unturned to make King, a massive theatrical explosion.
