Ramayana team have started promoting the film on a huge scale post the first trailer release. They have released first single, Jai Jai Ram, recently, and it became popular. The trailer has crossed one billion views establishing huge record for Indian Cinema. 

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash are playing prominent roles as Lord Rama, Sita and Ravana, respectively. Ranbir Kapoor had to transform into playing Lord Ram on the screen and the makers released BTS video of how he trained and worked hard to achieve the final result on big screen. 

Arun Govil introduced him as Ram, as he became synonymous with Rama on TV screens from Ramayana. Now, he is playing Dasaratha, father of Ram, in this film. He stated that Ranbir has all the humility to play Lord Ram and he showcases a healthy attitude on sets. 

We see Ranbir stating that he did not want to be worthy of playing Ram but the perception and belief on people in him on screen. He revealed that he is happy to have worked with Guy Norris and Terry Notary kind of legends for action part. Sai Pallavi revealed that how she saw Ram on photos in her childhood she found Ranbir same. 

Director Nitish Tiwari revealed that producer Namit Malhotra came up with the idea of casting Ranbir and he fit into all the boxes they wanted to do with Ram's character. We see shots of Ranbir working hard tied to harnesses and performing emotional scenes. Yash is also producing the film with Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman scoring music for this Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027 release as two-part epic.
