Shah Rukh Khan has unveiled a new poster of his upcoming action entertainer, King, offering a glimpse of his character’s contrasting shades of violence and romance. The poster features the superstar with a rose between his lips, a gun in his hand and a fierce look, with visible injuries adding to his rugged appearance.

“Aaj phir yaad aaya... Qaatil nahi… Aashiq hoon,” Shah Rukh wrote while sharing the poster, hinting at the romantic side of his character despite his intense, action-oriented appearance. The line, which translates to “I am not a killer, I am a lover,” also recalls the actor’s iconic romantic image, while adding an intriguing dimension to his character in the film.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, King brings Shah Rukh back together with the filmmaker after Pathaan. The film also features Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor and several other prominent actors. It marks the first theatrical collaboration between Shah Rukh and his daughter Suhana.

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026, during the Christmas season. Anirudh Ravichander is composing background score and a special song while Ed Sheeran is expected to debut in Indian cinema as a composer with this film.
