Dino Morea appeared before the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Friday as part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged Mithi River desilting scam. According to ANI, Morea reached the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s Office to join the probe into the alleged financial irregularities surrounding the river desilting contracts.

The case relates to alleged irregularities in contracts awarded for cleaning and desilting the Mithi River, with the Mumbai civic body reportedly suffering a loss of more than Rs 65.54 crore. The investigation has been examining alleged financial dealings between contractors, middlemen and officials involved in the project.

Morea's name had previously surfaced during the investigation after investigators examined the call records and financial transactions of Ketan Kadam, an accused in the case. Morea and his brother Santino had also been questioned by the EOW in 2025. Police had examined alleged financial links between entities associated with the Morea brothers and companies connected to Kadam.
The actor had also appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in 2025 after the agency initiated a money-laundering investigation linked to the EOW case. The ED had conducted searches at multiple locations, including Morea's residence, as part of its probe. The latest appearance before the EOW is part of the continuing investigation, and the current reports do not establish any wrongdoing by Morea.
