Aneet Padda’s Shakti Shalini may no longer arrive during the Christmas season. The Maddock Films horror-comedy, which was earlier scheduled to release on December 24, 2026, is reportedly being considered for a March 2027 release. The move could help the film avoid a direct clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited King.

The timing could be particularly important for Padda. Following the success of Saiyaara, Shakti Shalini is her next major theatrical outing and also introduces her to Maddock’s increasingly popular horror-comedy universe. Rather than entering a packed Christmas race dominated by established stars and major franchises, the makers appear to be looking for a window where the film can command greater attention.

The Christmas period is already turning into a highly competitive box-office corridor. King is scheduled to arrive on December 24, while Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three are expected earlier in the month, with Jumanji 3 also occupying the festive window.
