Dhurandhar The Revenge is heading to television, but viewers will get a considerably trimmed version of the Ranveer Singh starrer. The film, which received an ‘A’ certificate for its theatrical release, has now been cleared by the CBFC with a U/A 16+ certificate for its television premiere.

The CBFC reportedly asked the makers to make around 45-50 cuts before approving the television version. Most of the changes are said to involve the film’s violent and gory sequences, with the disturbing portions edited down for the TV audience. According to the report, the makers have reworked these sequences while retaining the overall impact of the film.

The cuts have also brought down the runtime by around 10 minutes. The theatrical version ran for 3 hours, 49 minutes and 6 seconds, while the newly certified television version has a runtime of 3 hours, 39 minutes and 6 seconds.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar The Revenge features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. The film is set to premiere on Star Gold on October 18.
