Jaat starring Sunny Deol marks the debut of renowned Telugu Cinema production houses like Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory in Hindi, directly. It also marks Gopichand Malineni's debut as a director in Hindi and with Telugu commercial formula finding unimaginable success Pan India, let's discuss about Jaat at length.

Plot:
Ranathunga (Randeep Hooda) is a refuge from Sri Lanka and he runs away from his country as Separatist Tiger Forces have been subdued by the nation's military. He brings a box full of gold with his brothers to India. At Chirala, he finds a corrupt cop and takes over the entire costal area of Prakasam district over 15 years.

His wife (Regina Cassandra) also helps him in his activities. She subdues a battalion of brave women police personnel and kidnaps them in her house. An unnamed man (Sunny Deol) walks into Motupalle, the main hub of Ranathunga and he gets toughened up on the wrong side. How does he deal with Ranathunga as he is Brigadier Balbir Pratap Singh of JAT regiment? Watch the movie to know more.

Analysis:
Sunny Deol is in top form as Balbir and his action sequences are designed well to go with his "Dhaai Kilo Ka Haath" star power and screen presence. But the first hour just uses his action prowess but his character gets nothing new to perform. Second hour has few emotional scenes and he shines in them.

Saiyami Kher, Vineeth Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra leave a strong impression. Randeep Hooda is terrific as a terrifying villain. All others don't really get much to do. The focus of the filmmaker is more on making it a non-stop actioner in true blue video game style.

It is like Sunny Deol crosses one level after another in the first hour and then gets into the story. Gopichand Malineni did his best in presenting and elevating a superstar of 90's to showcase his full glory. He made use of his strong forte action and his image pretty well.

The movie feels like overdrive of mass commercial masala at places but still it has a lot to offer for action lovers. Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory did good job in setting this film up and the production values are top level. Still, a bit more concentration on writing could have made it even bigger entertainer.

In Conclusion:

Jaat is an easy one-time watch for all action lovers.
