Samantha's Shaakuntalam' released in the cinemas on April 14th. This Gunasekhar-directed film is produced by Neelima Guna and presented by Dil Raju. The massively mounted film Shaakuntalam based on internationally acclaimed Kalidasa’s Sanskrit play ‘Abhijnana Shakuntalam.'

 

The producers have told that the movie’s budget is around 80 Crores. The film failed to recover theatre rents after the first days making it as one of the biggest disasters in 2023.

 

Now the latest buzz, Shaakuntalam will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video on May 12, 2023. However, an official statement from the streaming service is yet to be released.

 

This prestigious project has its music composed by Mani Sharma. The ensemble star cast includes Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhu Bala, Gautami and many other notable actors. This is Allu Arha's debut film.
