We Sold My Mother's Gold to Fund the Flop Film: Sharwanand
Updated : Sep 8, 2022
Hero Sharwanand is one of the few Tollywood actors willing to try new roles and films where acting is a priority. He began his career in minor roles and rose through the ranks to become a hero.
He is currently preparing to appear in front of an audience with the film Oke Oka Jeevitham. While Ritu Varma plays the heroine in this film, senior heroine Amala will play a key role. Vennela Kishore and Rahul Priyadarshi also play important roles. On September 9, the film will be released in theatres worldwide. Sharwanand made key comments as part of the film's promotion in an interview with Tharun Bhaskar, which has now gone viral.
Padi Padi Leche Manasu was supposed to be the biggest hit of my career, but it unexpectedly bombed. It came as a surprise to me. It took a long time for me to recover from the shock. I didn't leave my room for about 2-3 months. That outcome was completely unexpected.
Another film that was a flop in my career was Ko ante Koti. We sold my mother's gold to fund the film. I was the producer. However, the film was a flop. The money has vanished. I couldn't take it anymore. It took six years to pay off the debts. "He didn't buy a single shirt in those six years," Sharwanand recalled the events of the time.
The following film, Run Raja Run, was a commercial success. Prabhas then called Anna and invited me to a party at their home. But I'm not going to believe it until Monday. Sharwanand revealed that he was unable to enjoy the films' success.
