Nithiin has been struggling with his story selection but he has huge expectations from Venu Sriram's Thammudu. The movie is produced by renowned producer Dil Raju. The movie released today and let's discuss about the film in detail.

Plot:
Jay (Nithiin) is a National level Athelete, who won medals at Common Wealth Games, Internationals in Bow and Arrow event. He is unable to focus and hit the bullseye before his participation for World Championships. His companion Chitra (Varsha Bollamma) wins start-up of the year award for her WeLink. He fractures his hand in frustration as he is unable to concentrate on bullseye.

He remembers his elder sister Snehalata, who changed her name to Jhansi Kiranmayi (Laya Gorthi) and tries to meet her. But she doesn't accept to recognise him due to a troubled past. She has to submit a report about a blast in Vizag which is fabricated by Azerwal (Saurabh Sachdeva). He tries to kills Jhansi and her family, who attend Jathara at Ambaragodugu. Can Jay save her and who is Ratna (Sapthami Gowda)? Watch the film to know more.

Analysis:
Nithiin delivered a very balanced performance and he did well in action sequences. Sapthami Gowda is good but her character did not work due to slight over action. Varsha Bollamma had a good character arc and she did well. Laya looked perfect for her role and she did well, too. Even others did their best in their respective roles.

While performances are good the film fails to deliver on writing front. Looks like Karti's Khaithi and several other films but none of them work in a coherent manner. Each and every action action episode drags on further and it feels like the narrative is lagging further.

Production values are good but the sequences don't really add up to the events. The cause seems to be too simple and the unrelenting challenges doesn't really add up. Ajaneesh Loknath tried his best in BGM but the draggy narrative fails him, too.

Lack of connectivity and stretching each scene to the brim works against the movie. Overall, the unimaginative narrative and drag in the screenplay makes this Thammudu, a very tough watch.

Bottomline:
Thammudu fails to impress and tests patience.
