Mani Ratnam is coming up with a bilingual movie starring Mahesh Babu in Telugu and Vijay in Tamil and Anushka is supposed to be heroine with Mahesh Babu in Telugu. However, Anushka Mahesh Babu combination failed previously for Mahesh Kaleja as such the Mani Ratnam decided to get Richa Gangopadhyay for this Mahesh Babu Richa Gangopadhyay Telugu version.
