Other than Telugu, Nagarjuna's "Oopiri" has also released in Tamil as well with the title "Thozha". And guess what. These two films have got two different reviews in different languages.

In Telugu, Oopiri is rated outstanding by some critics while few critics felt that it's good watch. Ratings have ranged from 3 stars to 3.5 stars. But in Tamil, while few positive-sounding critics rated the film with 3 stars, others have rated it with 2.75 stars. So, why did Tamil audiences haven't like the film?

Telugu version stood at 158 minutes long (2 hours 28 minutes), while Tamil version is said to be 170+ minutes. That would have sounded like huge lag and also the way backstories created for Na and Karthi's characters unlike in the original must have failed to appeal to Tamil audiences.
