Following the success of Valimai, the stalwart is back with his latest project, tentatively named #AK62.

Among the commotion surrounding the entertainer, what has caught the interest of gossip mongers is the notion that he is getting paid a startling sum for his next project. Yes, you read that correctly! He reportedly sought Rs 100 Crore for the film, but the producers, who were thrilled to have him on board, opted to pay him a bonus of Rs 5 Crore in addition to the entire payment. Well, it appears that Ajith's hard work for Valimai has finally paid off, and it remains to be seen how he handles his upcoming project.

#AK62 will hit the sets by the end of 2022 and will be released in the summer of 2023. Vignesh Shivan's project is being funded by Lyca Productions. The makers recently announced the film, writing in an official release, "We proudly announce our next project with Mr Ajith Kumar 'AK 62' to be directed by Vignesh Shivan, music composed by Anirudh, and produced by Subaskaran." GKM Tamil Kumaran will lead the project.

The film's production will begin at the end of this year and will be released in the middle of next year. The rest of the cast and crew will be revealed soon.
