Kamal Haasan starts legal battle for Thug Life

Kamal Haasan has huge anticipation on his upcoming film, Thug Life. He stated at many events that the movie is a great film and it should be watched by everyone. He and legendary director Mani Ratnam delivered an all-time Indian film classic like Nayakan and after 38 years they are coming together with this film.

Kamal is promoting the film restlessly all over India and at audio launch event in Chennai, he made remarks that Kannada language has originated from Tamil and it is a Dravidian language. These comments have become controversial in Karnataka and Kannada Film Chamber of Commerce has released an ultimatum that they will ban the release.

They have asked for an unconditional apology from Kamal Haasan before 30th May, otherwise they will ban its release on 5th June in Karnataka. Even Government bodies opposed Kamal's comments. Hence, Kamal Haasan moved to Karnataka High Court asking them to permit his film's release.

He even requested Court to direct Government bodies to give his film theatres protection and order chamber, exhibitors to compulsory release his film. He even asked for double police protection and special committee to be constituted to help the release. He revoked his Constitutional Fundamental Freedom of Speech, which is being bullied by these protests and unconstitutional warnings.
