Distributors hesitating to acquire Liger Theatrical rights
Updated : Jul 27, 2022
'Liger,' directed by Puri Jagannadh, stars rowdy star Vijay Devarakonda, who made waves with the blockbuster film Arjun Reddy. Tollywood and Bollywood audiences are awaiting this Pan-India film with bated breath.
The film will be released on August 25th. The film's promotional campaign is also in full force. The trailer for the film has also been released as part of this. It also received a positive reception from the audience. The song Akdi Pakdi has also gone viral on social media. With this, 'Liger' is doing more theatrical business than any other film in recent times.
The makers of the film 'Liger,' which will be released as a Pan India movie, are banking for a large sum of money in non-theatrical rights. Satellite, digital, audio, and dubbing rights are sold for between 55 and 60 crores.
However, the Liger theatrical rights are being turned down by overseas distributors. The reason for this is that the film's rights are quite expensive. So far, no one has expressed interest in acquiring the rights to this film. As a result, the film's makers intend to release it on their own.
The film is being produced by Bollywood star producer Karan Johar, Puri Jagganadh, and Charmee Kaur under Dharma Productions and Puri Connects banners. Bollywood hot beauty Ananya Pandey played the heroine. Mike Tyson is playing crucial role in the movie.
