Demon Slayer, the TV anime series, has been a huge blockbuster across the world. The Japanese series has become such a huge success that the makers have planned to release it as movies. Now, they have decided to bring a finale series of films with Infinity Castle storyline. The Part-1 of the series of three finales, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle has released globally, after becoming a ground-breaking blockbuster in Japan. Let's discuss about the film in detail.

Plot:

Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of Demon Slayer corps succumbs to Muzan Kibutsuji and the Demon King retreats to Infinity Castle and traps all Demon Slayers there. While everyone is fighting demons, slayers tried to figure out where Muzan is hiding. Kagaya's son Kiriya and daughters Kuina and Kanata lead the operation by mapping the Infinity Castle with the Kasugai crows. Shinobu Kocho fights Upper Rank 2 Demon Doma and succumbs to his might.

Meanwhile, determined to kill Akaza, Upper Rank 3 Demon, Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka start using every inch of their body, power and aura. But Akaza keeps tormenting them and their abilities. Tanjiro starts growing in power taking inspiration from his life. But the might Akaza seems to be uncontrollable as he keeps regenerating. How will they over power him? What is backstory of Akaza? Can that backstory give a solution to overpower him? Watch the movie to know more.

Analysis:

The anime quality is sensational in the film. The makers have focused highly on improving the production quality from the series as well. Each kill, each power moment are imagined with highest quality. The big action moments create maximum awe and give a great satisfaction to fans. Without knowing the previous history it is hard to follow the proceedings in the film. It would be great to know the history of characters before watching it.

In anime, the movie can be called as a big achievement as it takes every aspect a notch above the usual. Each and every frame has been crafted to leave a great mark on fans and it will be a remarkable cinematic experience. But the movie tries to jump in narration with different character perspectives being explored to talk about their motivation. It feels a little too much at places as audiences want to be glued to one narrative.

Still, holds it all together with Akaza back story. It goes deep into his origin story and at times, it feels like a hindrance in pace as other characters get completely sidelined. An unique approach to make the climax work but it feels a little bit stretched too much to establish every character's work and their mission in the film. The backstory though works in giving a great emotional beat and conclusion to his story.

While it works well, but it feels like a litle too long for an anime film. Technically superiority and good story helps the team to deliver a good cienmatic experience. Exempting the parts that slightly brings down the pace, the movie is a worth watch for anime enthusiasts.

Bottomline:

A Worth Watching Anime film with few drops in pacing.

Rating: 3/5
