December releases depends on Allu Arjun decision
Updated : Aug 5, 2024
Despite various speculations, the team behind Pushpa 2: The Rule is maintaining silence regarding any potential issues between Sukumar and Allu Arjun, as well as the film’s release schedule. Several small and mid-budget films are targeting a December release and are uncertain about the impact of Pushpa 2: The Rule’s timing. Allu Arjun is scheduled to return to the sets this week, with hopes to complete his parts and finish filming as soon as possible. Discussions have taken place between Allu Arjun and Sukumar about the release date, with Allu Arjun agreeing to resume work only if the film can meet a December 6th release. Otherwise, he has requested additional time.
Sukumar has committed to completing the shoot quickly, aiming for the December 6th release date, but his meticulous approach to filmmaking raises the possibility of a delay. The situation is reminiscent of last year's disruption caused by Prabhas’ Salaar, which altered the December release schedule. Similarly, Pushpa 2: The Rule could potentially miss its December release window. Ram Charan’s Game Changer is also slated for a Christmas release, but this depends on Shankar’s decisions regarding the film’s post-production. Any delays with Game Changer could further affect the December release schedule.
The final release dates for Pushpa 2: The Rule and Game Changer will significantly influence the scheduling for other Tollywood films. If both films are delayed, it could open up December for releases from other projects such as Balakrishna and Bobby’s film, Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel, Nithiin’s Robinhood, and Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa, all of which are eyeing a December launch.
