Akkineni Nagarjuna’s younger son and actor Akhil Akkineni got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Shriya Bhupal, granddaughter of Hyderabad's renowned businessman GVK Reddy. (Her mother Shalini Bhupal is the daughter of GVK Reddy), last night. Several Tollywood celebrities and also top-rated politicians from Telugu states have graced the event.

Samantha who is going to wed Nagarjuna’s elder son Naga Chaitanya next year has congratulated the young couple saying, “Congratulations to the most lovely couple . May you have the most beautiful life together @AkhilAkkineni8 #shriya.”

Akhil and Shriya’s marriage is expected to take place in Italy. Around six hundred guests will fly to Italy for the event, as per reports. However, Akkineni family hasn’t made any official statement on venue of the wedding as of now.

On the film front, Akhil’s film with Vikram Kumar will go on floors in January, 2017.
