Raghavayya (Krishnam Raju) - a rich industrialist - has a daughter (Meena Kumari). Raghavayya helps Prasad (Suman) - who was the son of Raghavayya's deceased employee - by funding his studies and finances. Prasad falls in love with Raghavayya's daughter and elopes with her to London and settles there.Raghavayya adopts a kid from orphanage and names him as Anand (Uday Kiran). In the meantime, Raghavayya's daughter (wife of Prasad) expires due to illness. They have a daughter called Seeta Lakshmi (Shriya). After a few years, they return back to Hyderabad. That's where Seeta Lakshmi meets Anand. Raghavayya has excessive hatred towards love marriages because of his daughter's elopement. Anand is very loyal to his father (Raghavayya). What would happen if Raghavayya comes to know that his loyal and truthful son fell in love with the daughter of the people who cheated him forms the bone of contention in the second half.
Analysis :
Uday Kiran is matured as an actor. His did pretty well, especially in pathos scenes. He sported a light beard through out the film, hence he looked little unglamorous. Uday Kiran is missing in the climax episode of the film as the story demanded it. Shriya is pretty cool as a bubbly girl. She has lots of weeping scenes as well. Krishnam Raju gets the lion share of footage in the film. He did extremely well as the stubborn man with rigid frame of mind. His characterization is very similar to that of Amitab Bachchan in K3G (Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham).Suman and Sujatha did well in the vital roles given to them. Brahmanandam acted as 'purohit' (marriage broker) in this film. Looks like Brahmanandam has turned the 'aashtaana purohitudu' for most of the Suresh Productions films. His comedy is partly good. Ravi Babu's role of comedy villain is not impressive. The kids did well as the buddies of Uday Kiran.
TeluguOne Perspective :
The film half of the film is mediocre. The second half has some good emotional scenes involving Krishnam Raju. The touch of D Suresh Babu is missing in the taking of this film. However, he should be commended for making a clean film. The climax of the film is emotional (though it is dragged with few twists). The title 'Neeku Nenu Naaku Nuvvu' looks apt for the combination of 'Krishnam Raju - Uday Kiran' and 'Shriya - Suman' than for the lead pair 'Uday Kiran - Shriya'. This film would stand if ladies get hooked to the sentimental scenes.
