Festivals are special to the Tollywood film industry. Producers will be willing to take any risk and compete for festival release date. This Dasara, three films competed against each other on the same day. They were titled 'Godfather,' 'The Ghost,' and 'Swathimuthyam,' respectively.

The same scene will be carried again for Diwali. Diwali falls on October 24 this year. As a result, the producers want to release the film over the preceding weekend. Four films will be released on the same day (October 21). Take a look at those movies which are going to release

Ori Devuda:

Vishwak Sen is readying himself for Ori Devuda, his second theatrical release in the calendar year on October 21, after the much acclaimed Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam. The entertainer, releasing for Diwali, features Mithila Palkar and Asha Bhat as female leads and is written, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu who helmed the original Oh My Kadavule. After the fantastic response to the theatrical trailer launched a few days ago, the team cobfident about it's success.

Prince:

Sivakarthikeyan makes his telugu film debut with Prince, a pure entertainment film under the direction of Anudeep KV. The role of Sivakarthikeyan's ladylove is played by Ukrainian Maria Ryaboshapka in the film, which was co-produced by Suniel Narang, Puskur ram mohan Rao, and suresh Babu.  On october 21st, the film will release in theatres both in Telugu and Tamil. 

Sardar:

Karthi-starrer Sardar is gearing up for a Diwali release. The makers have now announced that the film is all set to release on October 21. Sardar, a spy action thriller, has Karthi in a double role. Directed by PS Mithran, the film also features Raashi Khanna, Rajisha Vijayan, Laila, and Chunky Pandey in pivotal roles. Sardar will also release in Telugu, with Annapurna Studios presenting it.

Ginna:

Vishnu Manchu’s Ginna, is releasing on October 21st for the Diwali season. The film is scheduled for a multi-language release. The film stars Paayal Rajput and Sunny Leone, who are teaming up with Vishnu for the first time, and their combination is sure to garner a lot of attention. It also stars Vennela Kishore, Umesh Kaushik, V.K. Naresh, Suresh, Raghu Babu, Chammak Chandra, Satyam Rajesh and Bhadram in significant roles.

Front runner would be Vishwak Sen's Ori Devuda. Next will be Karthi's Sardar and Siva Karthikeyan's Prince with the kind of reception their movies gets in Telugu states Followed by Manchu Vishnu's Ginna.
