Rudraveena is one of the best movies in the career of Mega Star Chiranjeevi. This film was released on March 4, 1988 and has completed 25 years. Rudraveena has Chiranjeevi and Shobana in the main lead, directed by K. Balachander and Naga Babu produced the film under Anjana Productions banner.

 

Rudraveena movie is about the ideological clash between a young man, Suryam (Chiranjeevi), and his father, Bilahari Ganapathi Sastry (Gemini Ganesan). While the father believes that music and his life are for salvation, the son strives for a better society. Chiranjeevi won Nandi award for Best Actor in Jury category. This film was later remade into Tamil as 'Unnal Mudiyum Thambi' starring Kamal Haasan.
