Corporate houses of India forayed into retailing through their supply chains. ITC has recently comer up with a novel plan. The company proposes to introduce pushcarts to sell fresh fruits and vegetables.

ITC has chosen the most happening city Hyderabad to launch the scheme. The company will deploy on the road some 300 specially designed pushcarts. The USP is fresh fruits and vegetables at the most competitive rates, tamper proof weighing machines and trained staff who will explain the nutritional value of the merchandise. The company has set up a training center for imparting skills for the vendors.
