posted on: Feb 4, 2012 11:24AM
In a sudden move, Sahara India on Saturday withdrew the sponsorship of the Indian cricket team. The company also resigned from the ownership of Indian Premiere League (IPL) team Pune Warriors India. "We are withdrawing from all cricket under BCCI," says the statement by Sahara.
Sahara requests BCCI to pass on Pune Warriors team led by Yuvraj Singh to some other interested party immediately. The company's decision comes on the day when 144 players from 11 countries go under the hammer for the IPL 2012 auction.
