Potential Budget needs time to prove itself

It is a potential budget that can deliver good results for the Indian Railways. While few people were not for it, we would like to make few points here in support of the Railway Budget 2014. While we make our points as a comparison of this budget with our day to day life.
1. People cry of lack of hygiene: While there is lack of hygiene in toilets (Train or stations) the Rail Ministry made a provision to establish a separate Housekeeping arm for the railways. But the bogeys can be cleaner with the participation of passengers, yes we passengers are the ones who mess the bogeys and toilets with food, plastic, paper and waste food that we spill, what more we blame the Railways for not cleaning the mess that we have created. We have been provided with the dustbins and we can definitely utilise them instead of letting the litter lay there or throw the same out of window. So the point is if the Govt ensures Cleanliness of toilets and better housekeeping we people can pay more. But the people should also be made more aware of how to keep the trains clean which itself is a huge task considering the rural population who travel in trains.
2. Increased cost in fares: We have never heard of people crying out loud against Multiplexes costing Rs 300-400 for a ticket which you can get at 100-110 in Single screen theatres. We have never heard of people crying out loud when the Malls/Food Courts on Highways charge extra money for Water bottles, Lays chips or Cold Drinks. we have never heard of people crying out loud against the overpricing of commodities beyond MRP in several stores. Then why cry for Railway Price hike? We want every kind of amenity on trains and we protest to pay extra? Why not pay extra? We pay extra charges to A/C Volvo buses for they give comfort, if we are open to that we should be open to the hike as well.
3. Not Common Man Friendly: We all are common people. We all need to introspect what's common man friendly? There are people who travel without Tickets...is that Govt Friendly? There are people who burn Trains in the name of Protests is that being Govt Friendly? There are people who are Management experts who can tell what it takes to run such a large organisation with such a large wish list of passengers and it is not easy. Let’s give the Indian Railway Ministry some time to at least achieve 40% of the budget target that has been presented yesterday and the people who are bashing up this budget will start praising the efforts. But we need to give time as Rome was not built in a day! Being said that we as a collective Vote power can change the Govt if they fail to deliver on their promises/Budget developments. Then why crib? Let’s face the reality. We should not oppose for the sake of opposition we should accept, learn, understand and then oppose on the proven grounds.
