52 % polling recorded till midafternoon in Seemandhra

The official percentage recorded till noon in the Seemandhra region is around 52%.Despite  a few clashes and untoward incidents polling has picked pace in all the districts. The blazing sun doesn’t seem to deter the voters who are coming forward to cast their votes . She could probably be the oldest female voter-89 year old Sarambe who came walking for over 2 kms alone in the hot sun in Anantapur  district to cast her vote. There were a sizable number of senior citizens and handicapped people who also came and voted along with the newly inducted young voters who were seen voting enthusiastically and showingtheir inked fingers.
Seemandhra polling is being held for 25 seats along with simultaneous assembly polls for 175 constituencies.

The stakes are running high for YS Jaganmohan Reddy's YSR Congress and  N Chandrababu Naidu's TDP which is in alliance with the BJP.It is expected to touch 60 to 75 % by the end of the day.
