Kolkata boy wins Mr Gay world 2018

We might not sure how this news would be received by the orthodox Indian society. But the fact is that an Indian has come as second runner up in Mr. Gay 2018 competition. The competition was held at Knysna in South Africa. Samarpan Maiti, a 29-year old student of bio-chemistry from Kolkata stood third in the competition. Interestingly Samarpan is researching on brain cancer and is waiting for his PhD degree. However the title has gone to Australia’s Jordan Bruno while the first runner-up was Ricky Devine-White from New Zealand. Maiti has assured the judges that despite being shy, he would fight for the cause of gay community in India. Can he!
