First Double Decker Train inaugurated in AP

The first air conditioned double decker bi-weekly superfast express train between Kachiguda-Guntur has started its first run today at 5:30 in the morning. Around 500 passengers who got onto the train were visibly excited at the prospect of getting into the first double decker train. Speaking on the inuagural session ,Mr Sambasiva Rao, the CEO of South Central Railway said the SCR introduced these two new train services between Kachiguda-Guntur and Kachiguda – Tirupathi as part of the interim railway budget and that these trains consist of 10 double decker AC chair cars and two power cars to accomadat heavu rush especillay during the festive and holiday seasons.

Double Decker Train Schedule

Kacheguda-Guntur AC bi-weekly double decker superfast express will depart from Kachiguda at 05:30 hrs every Tuesday and Friday and arrive in Guntur at 10:40 hrs. Return journey it will depart from Guntur at 12:45 hrs every Tuesday and Friday and arrive in Kachiguda at 17:55 hrs.

Kachiguda-Tirupati AC bi-weekly double decker superfast express will depart from Kachiguda at 06:45 hrs every Wednesday and Saturday and arrive in Tirupati at 18:15 hrs. Return journey it will depart from Tirupati at 05:45 hrs every Thursday and Sunday and arrive in Kachiguda at 17:15 hrs.
